When the New York Mets open up their season Thursday afternoon in Miami, Auburn’s Tim Locastro will be with them.
The speedy outfielder won the final roster spot on Monday. Locastro signed a minor league deal with the Mets back in January and was a non-roster invitee to spring training.
Locastro was plagued by injuries in his two seasons with the Yankees.
