#2 Herons Advance in AMCC Championship

The second-seeded William Smith bowling team began its Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship defense with a 2-0 mega match win over third-seeded Pitt-Bradford this afternoon.

A mega match consists of a traditional match followed by a Baker match. If the teams split those two contests, the winner is decided by a best of seven Baker match.

  • William Smith swept the mega match with an 862-810 victory in the Baker match.

UP NEXT

  • The Herons will square off with No. 1 seed Saint Vincent in the next round of the double elimination championship. The match is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22.
  • The Bearcats defeated No. 5 Hilbert 2-0 this afternoon.
