High Points Dispensary on Routes 5 and 20 in Geneva is expanding its product lineup and rolling out new customer perks heading into the holiday season, according to owner Darryl Hilkert, who joined the FLX Morning Podcast on Veterans Day, November 11.

Hilkert said the dispensary is working toward having the largest cannabis selection in upstate New York, with over 120 strains of flower, more than 100 varieties of pre-rolls, and 100-plus consumable options. “The products are just endless,” he said. “There’s something for everybody.”

A loyalty rewards program is in the works that will allow customers to earn points for every dollar spent, redeemable toward accessories and merchandise. Hilkert said the goal is to give something back to regular shoppers and encourage repeat visits to the store.

In honor of Veterans Day, High Points offered a 10% storewide discount on November 11. “We’d like to wish all of our veterans a happy Veterans Day, past and present,” Hilkert said. “We want to give back to those as well.”

Hilkert also noted that cannabis prices have been improving since the early days of legalization, and the shop is looking at bundled deals to help bring costs closer to what consumers were used to paying before the regulated market launched. “We just want to give it back to the community so everybody can afford to consume,” he said.

Looking ahead to 2026, Hilkert teased the possibility of weekly happy hour discount windows and in-store product launch events. The store also carries CBD products — including options suitable for pets — and a range of accessories and merchandise, making it a potential holiday shopping destination for those not interested in THC products.

Hilkert emphasized that staff are trained to guide customers through the growing range of cannabinoids and products available. “A lot of people come in without much knowledge of the different products,” he said. “Our people can definitely help put them on the right track.”

High Points Dispensary is located on Routes 5 and 20 in Geneva and is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Paul Szmal: at 11 a.m. Buffalo Bills football on Finger Lakes News Radio 106.3 FM 1240 a.m. WGVA and 96.3 FM and 1590 a.m. WAUB FLX morning continues it is 752 it's chilly morning roads may be a little bit slippery and snow-covered where you are it's 27 but it feels like it's 14 winter feeling is definitely in the air all right joining us right now Daryl Hilkert from High Points Dispensary on 5 and 20 in Geneva welcome back sir how are you I'm good I'm good and boy you've got a lot of stuff going on here just in time for the holiday season let's start with the loyalty program that you're planning on putting together and how that's gonna work.

Darryl Hilkert: Oh yeah we've got got a lot of things happening over at high points right now things are in the works for our loyalty program that we'll have you'll be able to gain points for every dollar you spend you'll be able to use those toward accessories and merchandise stuff like that you know to help help give you back a little bit for spending your money at our store so you know something that could be beneficial to to help people come in and and want to shop at our store.

Paul Szmal: And you're also doing a little discount today in honor of Veterans Day yeah we are we're doing a 10% discount right across the board for everything in the store we'd like to wish all of our veterans a happy Veterans Day past and present and we want to give back to those as well.

Paul Szmal: And I know one of the big things that you've been working on with a lot of the new products that are coming in is increasing the amount of selection that you have and we were talking a little bit about this just before we open the microphones on just how many different varieties of individual product lines that you have.

Darryl Hilkert: Oh yeah we I mean we're looking to have the biggest selection in upstate New York you know we have a over 120 different strains of flour you know hundred-plus different kinds of pre-rolls hundred-plus different kinds of consumables so I mean the products are just endless there's something for everybody for sure and we got a very large selection we're looking to maybe do some bundle deals here very shortly it's where we can we're doing whatever we can do to get the price better for the consumers down to what they're actually used to spending back in the days rather than you know the new the new pricing that came along when cannabis first became legal because you know it goes through so many different testings and and everything and licensing and all this stuff it takes to get to the shelf it's not just growing in your backyard and drying it out and selling it to your buddies it's you know it's a whole big process so prices are definitely getting better that's something that we're huge on we just want to give it back to the community so everybody can afford to consume.

Paul Szmal: Yeah especially this time of year we're getting into the holiday season where you've got a variety of products some THC oriented some non THC oriented oh yeah yeah we have a very large selection a lot of regular CBD products that are very beneficial for pets also some people don't want to do THC so the CBD products do work for them also and then we have a lot of merchandise and accessories so a lot of stuff to shop for the holidays at High Points we'll be doing all kinds of neat stuff you're gonna have to stop in to see see what we've created and what we're doing but a lot of things in the horizon that'll be really neat to give to the customers.

Paul Szmal: And looking ahead to 2026 what's some of the stuff that you've got in mind besides the loyalty program anything you can kind of give us a little sneak preview on we're looking at doing a little bit of happy hours throughout the week where we can give maybe some discounts you know certain hours throughout the day right where people can focus on their time for that just some goodies some lunches and stuff like that we'll be doing some lunches you know during the week just something to help help bring people in and give them something extra for coming in.

Paul Szmal: Yeah and one of the things I know about High Points is that when you go to the when you go to the store if you have questions you're gonna get those questions answered your people are very well trained yeah we have a very knowledgeable staff and and they're and they're great they work very well individual with everybody some people just want to browse and check stuff out on their own but a lot of people come in with without many knowledge of the different products that are out there now and the different cannabinoids and how they do different effects yeah our people can definitely help put them in the right direction.

Paul Szmal: Yeah I think a lot of people are hung up on the the letter on the THC and CBD but there's so much more outside of that that people may not even be aware of oh yeah it it definitely is and you know come on in we can point you in the right direction for what you're looking for find the right products that suit your needs and you know get you set for your holidays absolutely.
