William M Jennings
William M. Jennings, 82, of Liverpool, formerly of Auburn, passed away on March 3, 2026, at Upstate University Hospital. Born in Syracuse, NY, on September 10, 1943, William was the son of the late Frank and Edith Kenny Jennings.
Whether he was serving in the U.S. Navy or cheering from the stands as a long-time SU season ticket holder, Bill lived with passion and pride. He and Linda were a constant presence in the community, volunteering with the Boy Scouts for over two decades. Bill’s commitment to helping others further extended to his leadership on the Board of Directors for Hospice of CNY. Above all, his favorite place to be was in the audience for his family; he was a mainstay in the stands for his children and grandchildren, loudly cheering them on through every band performance and sporting event.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Linda Jennings; his children, Elizabeth (Rudy) Zona, William Jr. (Yotsawadee) Jennings, and Thomas (Kristen) Jennings; his siblings, Mary Moyer and Robert Jennings; his grandchildren, Micayla and Jayden Jennings, Jake, Ella and Alex Zona, and Ayvah and Isabelle Jennings; and his great granddaughter, Vincenza Salvetti.
In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his sisters, Frances, Nancy, Sue, and Margie, and his brothers, Donald, Mack, Dick, and Ken.
Calling hours for Bill will be held on Saturday, March 7th, from 10 AM to 12 PM in White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn, NY. A funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home with interment in Fort Hill Cemetery, Auburn.
