Thomas H. Martz Sr.

Thomas H. Martz Sr., age 83, died at home in LaGrange, Georgia, on March 1, 2026. He was a son of the late Harold and Vivian (nee Lathrop) Martz and was known by his family and friends as Tom. He retired from the US Army as a Staff Sergeant in 1979 after 20 years of service to his country.

He is survived by his daughters, Terri Taggert of Georgia and Tracey (David) Martz-Hoffman of Geneva, and many grand and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his children, Tammy LaGeorge and Tommy Jr., his wife, Agnes, his siblings, Ted Martz and Patsy Hayward, and his former wife, Nancy Kelsey.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:00 on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Ovid Union Cemetery.
