Theodor Jurczak
It is with deep love and remembrance that we announce the passing of Theodor Jurczak at the age of 96, born on March 1, 1930, in Teniatyska, Poland.
Theodor lived a life marked by resilience, hard work, humor, and devotion to those around him. In 1955, Theodor immigrated to the United States from Badenhausen, Germany, in search of opportunity and a better future. He first made his home in New York City before later living in Lehighton, Pennsylvania, eventually settling in Naples, Florida, where he spent his later years. Theodor was known for his strong work ethic and friendly personality. In his final working years, he worked behind the meat counter as a butcher at The Fresh Market in Naples. Customers fondly remember not only his skill and dedication, but also his sense of humor. He especially loved joking that “the left leg on a chicken was always more tender,” a line that brought smiles and laughter to many who visited his counter.
Those who knew Theodor will remember his warmth, kindness, and ability to connect with people wherever he went. He carried with him the traditions and spirit of his Polish and German roots while building a meaningful life in America. Whether through a friendly conversation, a shared story, or a quick joke, he made lasting impressions on family, friends, coworkers, and customers alike.
He is lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory, humor, and enduring spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. Theodor was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elly; his brother, Walter; his son, Eugene; and his grandson, Erik. He is survived by his sons, Hans and Teddy, and their spouses, Patty and Lori; his grandchildren, Paul, Heidi, Nora, and Sara; and his great-grandchildren, Amalie, Dominic, Peyton, Olivia, Scarlet, Grayson, Carmen, and Trevor.
A private family service will be held to honor and celebrate Theodor’s life.
May he rest in peace.
