Stephen P. Paxhia

Stephen P. Paxhia, 77, of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, April 21, 2026. He was a lifelong resident of Auburn, the son of the late Stephen and Nina (Feek) Paxhia. Steve retired as a head mechanic from the City of Auburn after more than 38 years of service.

Steve led a fairly simple life, enjoying his many fancy vehicles over the years, Burgundy, of course. He could often be found around town, driving and helping several people throughout the course of the day.

He is survived by his wife Jamie (Telvock) Paxhia, two sisters, Frances (Mavin) Hanlin, Susan (Tom) Ferguson, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved feline friends Louie and Gucci.

Calling hours are Tuesday, April 28th from 4-6 PM, with services to immediately follow, all inside of Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn.
