Stephen R. Boone, 79, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Rochester General Hospital.

Friends may call from 11 AM to 1 PM on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Baris Funeral Home, 87 W. Genesee St., Clyde, NY. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Clyde VFW at 2 PM.

Stephen was born in Pultneyville on June 23, 1946, the son of the late Murray and Bertha Amon Boone. He served his country in the US Army from 1968 to 1970. He worked for many years at Garlock. In his spare time, he loved art, bird watching, and building birdhouses. Nothing beat watching his grandchildren playing sports.

He is survived by his wife Lois; two daughters, Vickie (Floyd) Rouse and Heather Boone; four grandchildren, Devin (Chelsea) Rouse, Cherelle Grant, Aaron Rouse, and Jaylen Barnes; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margo (Roy) Sebastiano and Nancy Wren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by eleven brothers and sisters.
