Sheila Marie Ripley

NY November 8, 1972 – February 27, 2026 Age 53

Sheila Marie Ripley, 53, of Naples, FL, passed away unexpectedly on February 27, 2026. Born on November 8, 1972, in Cambridge, MA, she was the beloved and cherished daughter of Deborah Marie (Daley) Ripley and the late Charles E. Ripley of Naples, FL, formerly of Somerville, MA. Sheila was the beloved mother of Chloe Rose Quinlan of Naples, FL; she was the only girl and cherished twin sister to Eric Ripley of Sebring, FL; and cherished big sister to the late Michael D. Ripley and his wife, Kim Ripley, of Rochester, NH, all formerly of Somerville, MA. Sheila is also survived by Brian Quinlan (Chloe’s father) of Somerville, MA, and leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will miss her dearly.
Sheila was raised and educated in the Somerville/Cambridge area. Growing up in Somerville and being the only girl in her family meant she played hockey fiercely and held her own. But, on the football sidelines, she rocked a pleated skirt and pom-poms, cheering for Somerville Pop Warner. She graduated from North Cambridge Catholic High School in 1991. After graduating high school, she worked for the City of Cambridge before working at her father’s company Technimed in Everett. She moved to Naples, Florida, in 2012 with her parents and her daughter.
Sheila enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, whether that meant going to the casino with her mom, drag queen bingo, out to dinner, or just to the movies; she was just happy to be there with those she loved. Her favorite thing was watching her daughter cheer. Come competition season, she was almost always guaranteed to be the “crazy cheer mom," but she took that title in stride. She also loved watching her favorite Boston sports teams come in first, time and time again. She will forever be remembered for her random acts of kindness, resilience, and accepting heart. She was a caring person who was always there for people in need even if she was in need herself. This heartache will never stop, but our hearts are slightly comforted by the fact that she’s finally at peace, the kind of peace that she could not find on earth.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
