Ronald Stanley Secor

Canandaigua - Ronald Stanley Secor, age 71, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Friends may call on Monday, April 20, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Perkins-Ames Funeral Home in Gorham. A funeral will follow at 1 p.m. with burial in Gorham Cemetery.

Ron was born on January 27, 1955, to the late Buce and Doris (Kneut) Secor. He was employed for many years by Ontario County as a motor equipment operator. Ron was a perfectionist when it came to his lawn; the lines were to be straight! He enjoyed gospel and country music as well as gardening and carpentry. Ron was currently working on restoring an old John Deere. One thing Ron will be remembered for is his wonderful sense of humor.

Ron is survived by his wife of 46 years, Candice “Candy” (Jensen) Secor; children, Jason Secor and Kate (J.J. Gordon-Smith) Secor; two brothers, Gary Secor and Edward (Mary Ellen) Secor, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ron was predeceased by his parents, granddaughter Riley Grace Nellist, and siblings David Secor and Cindy Bremer.
