Richard E. Limbach

Naples, NY January 11, 1936 – March 19, 2026 Age 90

Richard "Dick" Limbach, 90, of Naples, Florida (formerly of Milwaukee's North Shore), passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, with his beloved wife by his side.

He was born on January 11, 1936, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Mathew Limbach and Roselyn (Newman) Limbach. Dick attended St. Catherine Parish grade school, Pius XI High School, and Marquette University, where he graduated in 1957. He was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society and Alpha Delta Sigma fraternity and remained a lifelong advocate for Marquette, serving as president of the Business School Alumni Association.

He received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army Reserves in 1962. Dick's professional career included roles as advertising manager at Walker Marketing Corp. in Racine, Wisconsin; Rainfair Apparel in Racine; public relations manager at Oster/Sunbeam; account executive at McDonald Davis and Associates, Inc. in Milwaukee; and executive vice president and chief operating officer at The Blood Center of Southeastern Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where he served for 27 years.

In retirement, Dick was the organizer for the St. Agnes Conference of St. Vincent de Paul. In February 1963, he met Patricia "Pat" Bonnar. They became engaged in July and were married on December 28, 1963. They shared a loving marriage of 62 years.

Dick and Pat raised their two sons, Mark and John, in Milwaukee's North Shore communities of Whitefish Bay and Glendale. He is survived by his devoted wife, Pat, of Naples, Florida; sons Mark (Christine Burke) of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, and John (Susan Parsa) of Mequon, Wisconsin; brother William "Bill" Limbach (Beverly "Bev" Loehndorf) of Crystal Lake, Illinois; and five granddaughters: Matilyn (Codey Butler) of Bradenton, Florida; Emily of Tampa, Florida; Lindsey of Lakewood Ranch, Florida; Kaitlin and Morgan of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mathew Limbach and Roselyn (Newman) Limbach; his father-in-law, John Bonnar, and mother-in-law, Clementine Bonnar, of Racine, WI; sister-in-law Rosemary Bonnar Mandli; and brother-in-law Paul Mandli of Portage, WI.

Dick will be remembered for his unwavering honesty, quick sense of humor, endless jokes, and his favorite toast: May you slide down the bannister of life and never encounter a splinter.
