Pamela J. (Erb) Shumway

Seneca Falls, NY March 15, 2026 Age 67

Pamela Shumway, 67, of Seneca Falls, passed in the comfort of her home surrounded by family on Sunday, March 15th, 2026.

A time for visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21st, from 12 Noon – 3 PM, at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Burial will be held at the convenience of her family.

Pam was born in Waterloo, the oldest child to the late Fredrick and Mary (Fox) Erb. She grew up in Seneca Falls and spent the majority of her life here. She had worked as a seamstress at Don Alleson Athletic in Geneva for over 23 years and most recently worked part time at the Microtel in Seneca Falls.

Pam was always the life of the party. She enjoyed making folks laugh and considered it a successful day if she could get at least one person to smile a day. As much as she enjoyed seeing people smile, she'd have no problem letting you know where you stood with her, even if on that particular day you weren't in her good graces. She told it like it was, for better or worse.

In her younger years, Pam was an avid bowler at both Sunset Bowl in Waterloo and for years was a league bowler at Finger Lakes Bowl in Seneca Falls. For many years, Pam was a staple around her Chapin St. neighborhood, where she kept an eye on things and kept her neighbors entertained. In the summer, you could often find Pam with a nice cold beer in her hand; in the fall, celebrating her favorite holiday, Halloween; and all year round you'd find her spending as much time as she could with her family and close friends.

Pam is survived by her two children, Amanda (fiancé, Tony Gibbs) Sachs and Michael (Jamie Statt-Dugan) Erb; three grandsons, Alexander Erb, Damin Sachs, Xander Sachs; two sisters, Linda (Stewart "Gibby") Gibbs and Thelma (Kevin) McGough; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Burdette Shumway.
