A Celebration of Milan's Life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 14th, 2026, at the Naples Bible Church, 8833 NY-53, Naples, NY 14512, where a luncheon will follow.
Milan G. Smith (Smilin’ Milan), 85 years old of Naples, NY, passed away on January 21, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. His last week before going to the Lord, he was so blessed to be surrounded by all his family and many friends. Those who weren’t near showered him with phone calls.
Born in Rochester, NY, to the late George Smith and the late Rita Smith (LaSalle).
Predeceased by his loving wife, Donna Marie Smith, and his sister, Elaine Miner.
As a child, Milan enjoyed all the joys of being raised on a farm. He belonged to FFA and 4-H, played football and the saxophone. Milan graduated from Webster Central School in 1958.
Milan’s career spanned many passions. He was a truck driver in his early years and then, as his family grew, he grew his love of farming and started his own Smith family farm. After several years of farming, he changed gears and had a successful HVAC business. Milan took great pride as the successful owner of Finger Lakes Heating and Air Conditioning.
Milan loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and his family. He was a great believer in the Lord and enjoyed reading his Bible and spreading the word of God.
Survived by his children, Kevin (Lisa) Smith, Jeffrey (Felicia) Smith, Scott Smith, Jane (Matthew) Ury, Shawn (Trudi) Smith, Jamie (Laura) Smith, former wife Judi Gent, step-children Missy King and Billy King, step-mother Janice Smith, brothers Kevin, Mark, and Gary Smith, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and his dear friends.
