Mary Louise Campbell
Mary Louise Campbell, 78, of Burdett, NY, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at home.
She was born in Elmira, NY, on November 20, 1947, the daughter of James M. Rennels Jr. and Mary Jane (Rose) Rennells. Mary Louise graduated from Odessa-Montour High School in 1966. Mary Louise worked in Data Processing at Shepard Niles Hoist & Crane and later was a Certified Nurse Assistant at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was a member of Hedding Methodist Church (Infancy to Marriage) in Elmira, NY, and was married there to her husband, David N. Campbell, on November 1, 1969. Mary Louise loved helping others. She was a volunteer for Chemung County Habitat for Humanity and was a Boy Scout Mom and Leader. Mary Lou enjoyed baking apple pies, needlepoint, boating-navigation, and was a skilled markswoman.
She was predeceased by her father and stepmother, James M. and Photine (Barends) Rennells, Jr.; mother and stepfather, Mary Jane and Carl Henrich; sister, Joan Baker-Harvey; brothers, Richard Rennells, Michael Barends; and nephew, Nicholas Little.
Surviving is her husband of 56 years, David N. Campbell; children, Madi L. Campbell and Daniel N. Campbell; siblings, Marcia, James M. Rennells, III, Thom Barends (Toni), Kris Barends, Kathy May (Mike), Donna Little, Cherie Mazda, and Ted Rennells; and granddaughter, Honey Adele Campbell.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 12:00-1:00 pm at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm.
