Kelly L. Badman (Castillo)

Kelly L. Badman (Castillo), 62, of Moravia, NY, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026, at University Hospital, Syracuse, after a long illness.

Kelly was born in Cortland, NY, April 6, 1964, a daughter of David & Linda Story Badman. She was a graduate of Moravia Central School and Herkimer Community College. She had been employed in the restaurant business as a hostess. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Moravia and the Moravia Fire Department Auxiliary.

Kelly really enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, planting her flowers. Kelly also enjoyed being around people and helping out when she could. The love of her life was her dog Layla. She would bathe her, comb out her hair, then put bows in and dress her in cute outfits.

Kelly is survived by her mother, Linda Badman; 2 brothers, Scott (Gail) Badman and Mark (Connie) Badman, all of Moravia; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, David, and a niece, Koryn Badman.

A Calling Hour will be held from 11:00 AM until noon Saturday, April 18, 2026, at The First Baptist Church, 39 Church St., Moravia, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Refreshments will follow in the fellowship hall of the church.
