Kathaleen “Kay” M. (Brignall) Parrow

Waterloo: Kathaleen Parrow, 83, passed away peacefully at her home, Friday, May 8, 2026, with her family by her side.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial mass for both David and Kay, Wednesday, May 20 at 11:30 AM at Saint Mary’s Church, Waterloo. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.

Kay requested that memorial contributions be directed to Operation Healthy Pet, P.O. Box 59, Savanah NY 13146.

Born on March 19, 1943, in Waterloo, Kay was the daughter of the late Howard and Kathryn (Reidy) Brignall. She and her husband, David, worked side by side for many years as the owners and operators of Parrow’s Auto Parts in Waterloo, a business that became a familiar and trusted part of the community.

Kay had a deep love for flowers and gardening, and she found joy in browsing flea markets and garage sales. She enjoyed traveling, especially spending winters in Florida, where she cherished the sunshine and slower pace. Above all, Kay treasured her family—her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren—and she held a special affection for her cats, who were constant companions throughout her life.

She is survived by her sons, David M. (Margaret) Parrow and Robert G. (Cathy) Parrow; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her sister, Judy (Roland) Hall; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kay was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, David, who passed away on May 1, 2026; her daughter, Maureen Ward, who passed away on March 28, 2025; and her sisters, Donna Ward (June 7, 2024) and Sally Mazzoli (April 8, 2010).
