Karen Brown

Auburn, NY April 17, 2026 Age 66

Karen Ann (LoPiccolo) Brown, 66, of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly at her home in the early morning hours of Friday, April 17, 2026.

Born and raised in Auburn, Karen was the beloved daughter of the late Richard “Dick” and Joan (Kinsella) LoPiccolo. She devoted more than 20 years to her career as Regional Property Manager at Two Plus Four Management in Syracuse, from which she recently retired.

In her earlier years, Karen found great joy on the golf course and out on the water, sharing those moments with her late husband, Ray. She was a passionate and loyal fan of the New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills — a devotion that never wavered. Above all else, Karen was a woman whose heart belonged to her family and friends. In her final years, nothing brought her more happiness than becoming a grandmother. She treasured every single moment with her grandson Wesley, and the joy he brought her was immeasurable. She will be deeply and forever missed by all whose lives she touched.

Karen is survived by her loving son, Jason “Jay” DeChick (Mackenzie Naum); her grandson, Wesley DeChick; her three cherished sisters, Amy (Ed) Fuller, Julie (Todd) Blatnick, and Tina (Joe) Capeder; her aunt, Patti LoPiccolo; nieces Emily and Sarah Fuller, Megan Blatnick, Rebekah (Tim) Gilday, and Makaila (Keegan) McGinness; four great-nieces and nephews, Beau and Breeann Gilday, and John and Valentin McGinness; as well as many beloved cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Brown, in 2020, and her brother, William LoPiccolo.

A calling hour will be held on Thursday, April 23rd, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., followed immediately by her Mass of Christian Burial, both at St. Mary’s Church on Clark Street in Auburn. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.
