Joyce Dolores Couch
Joyce Couch, 93 years old, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away on April 22, 2026, at Avow Hospice in Naples, Florida, surrounded by her loved ones.
Joyce is now reunited with her beloved husband in Heaven.
Joyce was born in Detroit, Michigan, and grew up in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, the middle daughter to Florence and William Wilson.
Joyce worked as an insurance agent her whole life in Detroit, MI, Big Rapids, MI, and Naples, FL, until she retired.
On any given day, you could find Joyce’s smiling face at work or church. Her devotion to God's family was demonstrated in a variety of roles and ways of service. Her servant's heart and love of cooking and baking inspired people and made them feel welcome in God's house.
The only thing Joyce loved more than her church family was her actual family. Anyone who watched her interact with her sons, daughter, and most of all, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, saw the love, devotion, and close family that she raised. That is the biggest testament to the woman she was.
Her passions were cooking, baking, and watching her children and grandchildren play sports, and of course, cheering on the Detroit Red Wings. Her favorite thing to share with her children and grandchildren was cooking and baking. She would bake with them often, and the smile on her face was a testament to her love for them.
Joyce is survived by her 5 children: Jack Couch, Texas; Thomas Couch, Big Rapids, MI; Timothy (Karen) Couch, Naples, FL; Kimberly Beres, Bonita Springs, FL; Joel (Karma) Couch, Cody, WY; 10 grandchildren: Jonathan (Jessica) Couch, Dale (Liane) Couch, Helena (Jeremy) Renne, Matthew Couch, Joseph Woods, Nicholas (Nicole) Beres, Shawn Beres, Philip (Shantea) Beres, Jaron McComish; 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Joyce is preceded in death by her loving husband Philip Roy Couch, her parents Florence and William Wilson, sister Lois Stephen, brother William Wilson, and grandchild Wayne Couch.
A memorial service will be held on May 8, 2026, at 1:00 PM, Faith Lutheran Church, 4150 Goodlette Road N, Naples, FL 34103.
