Johnnie Mack Eldridge Sr., lovingly known as "Calvin" or "Big Man," a true legend of Geneva, New York, passed away on February 1, 2026. Born on June 27, 1957, Johnnie leaves behind a powerful legacy of love, honesty, and family devotion.

Johnnie was born to the late Mattie Mae Wilson and Johnnie Mack Brown (Shawncrow). He was one of fourteen siblings. He was preceded in death by his sisters Lonni D. Eldridge, Margaret Eldridge, Jessie Mae Eldridge, Urlene Eldridge, and Alberta Eldridge, as well as his brothers Welton Eldridge, David Eldridge, and Jerry Eldridge.

He is survived by his loving sisters Helene Eldridge of Geneva, NY; Velma Sullivan of Chicago, IL; Blanche Johnson of Mississippi; and Barbara Jean Eldridge of Canandaigua, NY; and his brother Larry Wilson of Geneva, NY.

Johnnie was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle to many. He was the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren: Zyneria Johnson, Keyshawn Mack Eldridge, Thomas-Mack Jones, Bklyn Jones, Calvin Lee Eldridge Jr., La'trenton Eldridge, Davi'Yonte Jones, Zhaliq Jones, and Mhakiyah Jones.

Johnnie truly enjoyed life and the people in it. He loved spending time with family, friends, and loved ones, taking long walks, cooking, and watching football and basketball. Known for his favorite saying, "Aye bay, bay!" he said it all the time. Johnnie brought laughter and authenticity wherever he went.

He was a helpful, giving, and honest man who always kept it real. Johnnie never sugar-coated the truth, and those who knew him valued his straightforward spirit and genuine heart.

Johnnie Mack Eldridge Sr. will forever be missed and deeply loved. Let us all remember and cherish the good times shared with him and carry his memory forward in love.
