James C. "Jimmy" Smith
James C. Smith, of Naples, passed away suddenly on February 11, 2026. He was born on September 3, 1977, in Chicago, and carried the strength, heart, and resilience of his roots with him throughout his life.
James was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and worked as an electrician by trade. He took pride in his work and was known for his willingness to help others—never hesitating to lend his skills, his time, or his heart to anyone in need.
Above all else, James loved his family. He was a devoted father to his son, Kameron Smith, who was the light of his life and his greatest source of pride. James is also survived by his parents, Charles M. and Diane G. Smith, sister Melissa D’Amico and her husband Vito, and his brother Martin Smith and his wife Arlen, as well as many nieces and nephews and lots of friends. Family meant everything to James, and his love for them was constant, steady, and sincere.
Those who knew James will remember his generous spirit, his kindness, and his genuine desire to help others. He had a good heart, a quiet strength, and a way of showing up when it mattered most. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and loyalty that will live on through the many lives he touched.
James will be missed more than words can express. His family will carry his memory in their hearts always and honor him by loving one another as deeply as he loved them.
