Jacob Kyle Clawson

Indianapolis, NY December 30, 1992 – January 3, 2026 Age 33

Jacob Kyle Clawson passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, after a short illness in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Jacob was born on December 30, 1992, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis to Rachel Clawson. When he was a young boy, he lived with his great-grandmother and attended Naples Elementary School. He also attended schools in Indianapolis and Ohio.

As a teenager, he was very interested in designing video games; later, his interest changed to cooking. He attributes that to his Uncle Gum, who was a chef for many years in Indianapolis. Jake attended Finger Lakes Community College culinary classes until Covid hit. He then went to cook over the next few years in restaurants in Naples and Canandaigua. He moved to Indianapolis to continue his passion and be closer to his mother and sisters. It was there he met his fiancée.

Jacob was predeceased by his grandfather, A. Bradley “Chip” Clawson, with whom he lived most of his life. He was also predeceased by his great-grandparents, A. Bradley and Marion W. Clawson.

Jacob is survived by his mother, Rachel (Frank) Clawson Daughtery; his sisters: Seanna (Kaiden Seward) McNab, Hali (Dominic) Hedquist, Mariah Clawson; his brothers: Austin McNab and Zachariah Clawson; his grandmother, Rapin (Willy Pacquette) Clawson; step-grandmother, Paula Clawson; his uncles: Gumpol Clawson and A. B. Clawson III; his aunts: Beverly (George) McIntosh, Suzanne Schwartz, and Supan Gumm; his fiancée, Jen Mitchell; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held for Jacob at 11 am on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Rose Ridge Cemetery in Naples.
