Mrs. Frances May Jackson

Frances M. Jackson of 1945 South Garden Groce Cir, Vero Beach, Florida, passed away from this earth Friday, January 30, 2026, in Vero Beach, Florida.

Born January 6, 1934, in Brewerton, NY, she was a longtime resident of Auburn, NY. Frances was the daughter of Walter and Nellie May Baker. Frances worked at General Electric and St. Mary’s School.

Frances was a longtime member of the Episcopal Church SS Peter and John, Auburn, NY. Frances served in the church choir and the Altar Guild. Fran and her husband Ed enjoyed round and square dancing. Fran loved to sew and play golf. She also had an open door policy for her family and friends, especially Rita Lewis and Sally Heath; there was always a place at the dinner table.

Frances was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving are her children Linda Shea Moore (Carl), Vero Beach, FL; Terrie Gehlsen (Bill), Lake Tapps, WA; Edward Jackson Jr., West Virginia; grandchildren Laura Garramone, Mark and David Shea, Jenifer Gehlsen, Ashley Hegewald, Tracy London, Daniel Jackson, Brittannie Spinks; twelve great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Raymond Jackson; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Edward, parents, and brother.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 16, 2026, in the Episcopal Church SS Peter and John, Auburn. Interment will be in Sand Beach - Lakeview Cemetery, Fleming. Farrell’s Funeral Service Inc, 84 South Street, Auburn, NY.
