Elsie “Ellie” Jamison
Elsie "Ellie" Jamison, 86, of Palm Bay, FL, formerly of Wayland & Perry, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at her Palm Bay home.
Ellie was born on April 20, 1939, in Hornell, NY, to the late Frank & Harriet (Woolever) Gordon. She graduated from Canaseraga Central School.
In addition to her parents, Ellie is predeceased by her husband, Howard "Howie" Jamison Sr; her son, Brian Jamison; her grandson, Jacob Jamison; seven brothers: Otto, Frankie, Edward, William, Miland, Leroy, and Laverne "Pete"; five sisters: Bessie, Isabelle, Gladys, Marilyn, and Thelma; as well as her sisters-in-law: Elaine Thompson and Eleanor Drain.
Ellie worked at several local establishments throughout the years, including the Perry Moose Club, Silver Lake Sportsman Club, and the American Legion in Sonyea.
She loved socializing and hanging out with family & friends and was a member of the Perry Vets Club, Dom Polski's, and the Sportsmans Club. She also enjoyed music, dancing, and outdoor concerts and festivals. Ellie's beloved dogs Misty, Haylee/Harlem, and Rascal were a big part of her life, and she enjoyed walking and taking road trips with them.
Ellie is survived by her children: Jacqueline Jamison of Palm Bay, Howard Jamison Jr. of Wayland, and Diana (Michael) Post of Perry; her grandchildren: Michael Morales, Eli Jamison, Rebecca (Laura) Barnes, Ayla (Joshua) Medeiros, Sarah Jamison, Zoe Jamison, and David Post; six great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law Patricia Jamison; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Per Ellie's wishes, there will be no immediate services. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
