Canandaigua – Christine E. Wagner, age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2026, with her son by her side.

She is survived by her loving son, Michael A. Wagner; niece, Dawn (Frank) Petrino and their children; several nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Albert W. Wagner in 2014; sister, Ida Thompson; and two brothers, Scott and Robert Krehan.

Chris was born and raised in North Tonawanda, NY, and was the daughter of Herman G. and Isabelle (Hood) Krehan. She attended schools in North Tonawanda. Chris worked for the Canandaigua City School District for over 25 years, retiring in 2007 as a teaching assistant. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Chris loved cooking and fishing.

The family will celebrate her life privately.
