Waterloo: Charles W. VanArsdale, Jr., 87, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Geneva General Hospital.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 18, at 10:00 AM at Saint Mary’s Church, Waterloo. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.

In keeping with Chuck’s wishes, memorial contributions may be directed to Saint Mary’s Church, 25 Center Street, Waterloo, NY 13165.

Chuck was born on April 16, 1938, in Seneca Falls, NY, the son of the late Charles W. and Mary (Railly) VanArsdale. He was a 1957 graduate of Waterloo High School. Chuck worked as a machinist for Xerox in Webster, NY, where he was employed for many years until his retirement in 2000.

He is survived by his daughters, Susan and Sharon, and his son, Timothy VanArsdale; his sister, Barbara Deal; his brothers, John (Sharon), James (Helen), and Stephen VanArsdale; his brother-in-law, Bernard (Bonnie) Simbole; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Chuck was predeceased by his wife, Carol, in 2012, and by his son, Bobby.
