Carol Elizabeth Henshaw

Carol Elizabeth Henshaw (Brocius), age 70, passed away peacefully on March 31st at 12:45 PM after a long battle with medical and health issues.

Carol is predeceased by her parents, Alice and Jack Brocius; sister, Marjorie (Suzanne) Ferney; son, Michael James Henshaw; and stepdaughter, Heidi Francis. Survived by husband, James Monroe Henshaw, a love so strong they married twice; son, Jonathan Monroe Henshaw; grandson, Jackson Henshaw; daughter, Patricia (Michael) Henshaw-Frankenberger; grandchildren: Isabella, Nicholas, and Anthony Frankenberger; Dawn Wright and family; longest friend and sister-in-law, Roxanne Henshaw; and extended family.

She was first most a mother and lover of life. A true warrior and caregiver, she followed on to be a veterinarian assistant. She worked in cosmetology and as a health care worker at the Steuben County infirmary. She loved family and her cats. An avid book reader and music lover, she always spoke to everyone with a loving nature and a smile. Her children and grandchildren could always count on an adoring gesture of love with a late-night horror movie and snacks.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to put in a flower garden in her memory at her longtime home.
