Carol (Mabel) Brann

Carol (Mabel) Brann, age 101, of Naples, Florida, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026. She was born August 9, 1924, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Carl and Frances Ucker.

In the mid-1940s, she traveled with USO shows and entertained troops as part of a dance team. She shared living quarters with actress Phyllis Coats, who was the news reporter, Lois Lane, in the Superman TV series. Through her entertainment connections and again with USO shows, she met Don (Emil) Buzzelli, who was a singer. They married in Korea.

Family needs brought her back to Columbus, Ohio, in the mid-1950s, where she worked at Curtiss-Wright building airplanes. She later worked for Executive Jet as an administrative assistant. Later in life, she remarried to the late Don Brann. They moved to Naples, Florida, where they shared 20 years together enjoying an active social life with many friends and activities. One outstanding activity they enjoyed together was ballroom dancing, winning several dance contests.

She is survived by her loving children, Cheri Buzzelli and Gary Buzzelli (Marianne), and grandchildren, Tami Lamar and Scott Buzzelli. Preceded in death by her siblings, Joe and Larry Ucker.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 12th, from 11 am to 12 pm, with a service from 12 - 1 pm at Fuller Funeral Home on 1625 Pine Ridge Rd, Naples, Florida.
