Brian N. Dearden, 50, of Cortland, NY, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, NY, following a long illness.

Brian was born February 28, 1976, in Syracuse, a son of David Dearden and Cindy A. Chapman. He obtained his GED and worked in farming and construction until a terrible automobile accident left him disabled. He spent most of his life in Weedsport and Cortland, and with his family.

His mother predeceased him, and he is survived by his father, David Dearden of Locke, NY, and his brother, David S. Dearden of Cortland, and several cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

There are no services at the request of the family. Arrangements are with the Wade Funeral & Cremation Service of Moravia.
