She is survived by husband Harry "Jug" Daniel Husner, daughter Peggy Seaman, son Rick (Patty) Gent, step-daughter Debbie (Michael) Woodland, step-daughter Tammy Robinson, grandchildren Melissa Seaman, David (Candy) Seaman, Rick (Nancy) Gent, Shane Woodland, Jon (Sami) Woodland, Raymond Robinson Jr., and Kayla Robinson. She was preceded in death by parents Anna (Musson) and Leon Johnson, son-in-law David Seaman, and siblings Wyona, George, Harold, Leon Jr., Leona, Lena, Hazel, and Gloria Russell.

Betty devoted her time and life to her hometown of Sodus, NY. She married Roger Gent in 1951 and had two wonderful children, Peggy and Rick. In the late 1960s, she met her current husband Harry. In 1974, they took a chance to buy her Uncle Brownie's tavern, which would then become an icon in the Village of Sodus known as Jug's Tavern. The tavern was the love of Betty's life; she enjoyed that it was a hometown family tavern where residents of Sodus could bring their families to enjoy their home-cooked food and drinks. She loved playing shuffleboard with her grandchildren. Betty's second love was her collection of Elvis Presley memorabilia. To keep Betty’s memory alive, next time you see karaoke, grab a microphone and sing that Elvis Presley or Dean Martin song.

A celebration of life will be held at the Sodus Center Fire House, 5521 Main St., on Sunday, April 26, from 1 - 3 PM. Memorials may be made to the Wayne County Nursing Home Foundation, 1529 Nye Road, Lyons, NY 14489, to the Memory Care Unit in honor of Betty Lou Husner.
