Amanda L. Blowers
GENEVA - Amanda Blowers, 37, of Geneva, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (May 12th) at 10:00 a.m. at The Presbyterian Church in Geneva, 24 Park Place. The Rev. Colin Pritchard will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Geneva Generals Hockey Organization.
Amanda was born on May 17, 1988, in Geneva, the daughter of Robert and Hope (Brown) Patnesky. She graduated from Geneva High School in 2006 and graduated from Nazareth University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2010 and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management in 2013.
Amanda worked as the executive assistant to the president at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she was beloved by all her coworkers. Her work ethic was second to none, and her smile could take a dark day and make it bright.
Her greatest joy in life was being a mom to her sons, Caiden and Connor. She enjoyed going on camping trips with friends and family and loved watching her boys play sports, especially hockey.
Amanda inspired people with her bravery and made a lasting impact on the doctors and nurses she came into contact with during her journey. Her positive attitude and willingness to fight earned her the well-deserved title of “Strongest Person I Know” by many. Throughout her journey, she remained concerned about others and never wanted anyone to worry about her. Her generosity and loyalty were unmatched.
Amanda is survived by her husband, Adam; her two sons, Caiden and Connor; parents, Robert and Hope Patnesky; brother, Joseph (Stephanie) Patnesky; father-in-law, Charles (Lorrie McGuigan) Blowers; mother-in-law, Ruth (Dana) Marquart; sister-in-law, Kelsey (Herb) Church; niece, Riley Schummer; paternal grandmother, Peggy Patnesky; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Joseph Patnesky; maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Beverly Brown.
