A flyer promotes a New York State Safe Boating Course held at the Auburn Fire Station #1, requiring pre-registration.

As boaters prepare to enjoy the Finger Lakes, the Auburn Fire Department wants you to know they’ll be offering a boater safety course next week.

The course will run from 8:00a-4:30p on March 4th at Fire Station Number One on Seminary Street.

Currently anyone born in 1983 or later is required to take this class to operate a motorboat and in 2025 everyone using such a craft will need to have taken a boater safety class.

Registration is required and can be done so by contacting Syd Marsden at 551-427-8096 or [email protected]
