Students at Watkins Glen Central School are taking a stand against hunger. The school’s student-run store, the Hawk House, donated $9,400 to the DubG Market, the district’s in-house food bank.

The funds come from purchases made by students and will help provide 28,000 meals to families across Watkins Glen and Schuyler County.

The DubG Market, launched in 2023 in partnership with the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, offers free food and snacks to students and families in need. The donation represents about 20 percent of what the Hawk House has earned since the idea to give back was proposed last June.
