Penn Yan’s celebration of the Yates County Bicentennial is less than two weeks away and a number of activities and events are planned. Carlie Chilson, who is on the Bicentennial Committee, says if you’re interested in volunteering on August 12th, please reach out.

“We need them for simple things like the cotton candy machine, the popcorn machine, to help hand out hotdogs or ice cream,” Chilson said. “We do need help with the bed races, with clean up after events at 4 o’clock and 10 o’clock, and we will also need help with traffic control and parking for the parade.”
