Update: Penn Yan Couple Injured in Motorcycle vs. Deer Accident

UPDATE:

A Penn Yan couple was taken to Strong after being ejected from the motorcycle they were riding after it struck a deer on State Route 14 in Starkey.

Tim Scofield and Sandy Scofield both suffered injuries to their lower legs. LifeNet airlifted one of the Scofields to Rochester. A portion of State Route 14 at Dundee-Lakemont Road was shut down for almost an hour while emergency crews responded.

Assisting the Yates County Sheriff’s Office were Dundee Ambulance and Yates County Ambulance.

A portion of State Route 14 at Dundee-Lakemont Road in the town of Starkey was shut down for almost an hour Wednesday night following a motorcycle versus deer accident.

Two people were reportedly injured following the 7 o’clock accident and taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, one by LifeNet.
