State Police have released the name of the teenager who was killed in a motorcycle accident late last week in Steuben County.
18-year-old Ryder Whitman, of Dansville, was riding south on State Route 63 in the town of Wayland at around 7:30 Thursday night when he passed a car in a no-passing zone. The motorcycle struck a northbound Kia Sorento head-on, which resulted in Whitman being ejected.
Whitman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car that was struck was taken to Dansville Hospital for minor injuries.
