UPDATE: State Police have identified the driver killed in a one-car accident Tuesday night in Schuyler County as 18-year-old Caden Ruben of Spencer.

An 18-year-old man was killed in a one-car accident Tuesday night in Schuyler County.
According to State Police, a 2024 Ford Explorer was traveling west on State Route 224 at around 9:30 when it went off the north side of the road while rounding a curve. The vehicle struck a tree, overturned, and became engulfed in flames. The driver was the only person in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
State Police have yet to release the victim’s name.
The investigation is ongoing.
