Two Vehicles Destroyed in Middlesex Fire

A vehicle fire in Middlesex on Monday afternoon resulted in the total loss of two vehicles parked at a Sky View Drive home.

According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, a Middlesex Assistant Fire Chief spotted a pickup truck on fire at 6115 Sky View Drive shortly after 4:20 p.m. and called for additional support. While emergency crews were on the way, the flames spread to a nearby SUV.

Firefighters from Middlesex and Rushville responded and were able to extinguish the fire. Both vehicles, owned by 23-year-old Eddie Guzzo, were destroyed.

The Yates County Fire Investigation Team is investigating the incident, but officials say the fire appears to have been accidental. No injuries were reported.
