So far this year, only 3.5% of New York residents have received COVID-19 vaccinations, a significant drop compared to around 12% last year.

Tompkins County leads the state with just over 7% of its residents vaccinated, followed by Yates County at 5.9%, Ontario County at 5.7%, Wayne County at 5.6%, Cayuga County at 4.4%, and Seneca County at 4.2%.

Meanwhile, health officials report there has been an uptick in COVID-19 hospitalizations in the Finger Lakes and Central New York.
