One Steuben County library has been awarded $100,000 that will be used to create a new learning space.

The six-figure donation to the Dormann Library in Bath came from the Corning Incorporated Foundation. It will be used for the Outdoor Learning Space Project, which will see a 1.6-acre outdoor educational space be built. The learning space will be a safe and accessible child-focused and nature-based space.

According to the Library, the project will be certified by Nature Explore: A joint program of the Arbor Day Foundation and Dimensions Educational Research Foundation.
