Staffing shortages and the ongoing training of new hires have forced one local Department of Motor Vehicles office to change its office hours.

Starting Monday, the Steuben County DMV office in Bath will be open Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The Hornell Office will be open Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and the Corning Office will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

The county wants its residents to know that these changes are temporary and necessary at this time. Eddie VanStine, Steuben County Public Information Director, said the county’s DMV is committed to providing quality service to the public and will return to regular operating hours as soon as staffing levels permit.
