Schuyler County is beginning the process of updating its Countywide Comprehensive Plan, a long-term guide that will shape growth, development, infrastructure, and environmental preservation over the next decade.

County officials say the plan will be built through public input and collaboration with local municipalities and community leaders.

“This is more than a planning document – it’s a community-driven vision for the future of Schuyler County,” said County Administrator Shawn Rosno. “It sets priorities for housing, transportation, land use, economic development, public services, and environmental stewardship.”

Residents, business owners, and stakeholders are encouraged to share their feedback through an online survey available here. Paper copies are also available upon request.

More details about the planning process can be found on the Schuyler County Comprehensive Plan website or by contacting the county’s Planning Department at 607-535-8211.
