A Rushville man was injured early Tuesday morning in a rollover crash on State Route 364 in the Town of Middlesex.

According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, 69-year-old Albert Carmichael was driving northbound at around 3 o’clock when he struck a deer, lost control, and his vehicle overturned several times.

Middlesex and Rushville fire crews extricated Carmichael from the wreck, and he was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by Middlesex Ambulance with a reported shoulder injury.

Deputies cited Carmichael for speeding and consumption or possession of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
