On Tuesday, voters in the Watkins Glen school district rejected a proposed capital project. The project was voted down with 430 NO votes and 174 YES votes.

In a statement, Superintendent of Schools Kai D’Alleva said, “While the outcomes reflect community concerns, it also provides valuable insight as we continue to work together to address our District’s needs. This result provides clear feedback for the district as we plan for the future.”

The district’s Facilities Committee will revisit district priorities and explore the next steps.
