The New York State Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing this month to discuss plans for replacing the State Route 364 bridge over the West River in the Town of Middlesex, Yates County.

The hearing on August 18th begins at 7 p.m. at the Middlesex Town Hall, located at 1216 NY-245. An informal open house will take place beforehand at 6 p.m., allowing residents and stakeholders to ask questions and review project details. No formal presentation is planned during the open house.

The bridge, located between Lincoln Avenue and Church Street, is scheduled for replacement starting in spring 2028. NYSDOT officials will provide information on the proposed design and right-of-way changes, including property acquisitions under the state’s Eminent Domain Procedure Law.
