The Village of Penn Yan has contracted with a Central New York excavating firm to determine the unknown water service lines within the Village.

Over the next several months, Casinella Excavating will be investigating service lines and interruptions should be minimal. The work is being completed to meet federal and state requirements to create an inventory of the village’s water service line materials to determine the presence of lead pipes, if any. This inventory does not include service line materials beyond a homeowner’s water meter.

The work is scheduled to take place from May through October.
