A Penn Yan school bus was involved in an accident Tuesday morning in Potter.

According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, the bus driver lost control of the full-sized bus due to snow and ice-covered roadways. Shortly after 8 o’clock, the bus went off the road at 898 State Route 247 at Mothersill Road and traveled down a field striking several trees.

The three student passengers, who were between the ages of 12 and 17, and the bus driver David Mulberger of Penn Yan, were not hurt.
