A Yates County man has pleaded guilty to a felony involving child sexual performance.

45-year-old Ronald Champlin entered a guilty plea Tuesday in Yates County Court. Judge Mackenzie Stutzman sentenced him to one and a half to three years in state prison.

The Finger Lakes Times reports Champlin was also sentenced for violating his parole from a 2017 conviction on the same charge. In that earlier case, the Penn Yan man received five months in jail and ten years of probation. The new parole violation comes with a sentence of one-and-a-third to four years, which will run at the same time as his latest prison term.
