You are invited to attend an open house and building dedication of the brand new Yates County Shared Services Facility. The event will take place Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon at 939 State Route 14A in the hamlet of Benton Center.
The new facility houses the Yates County Highway Department, as well as the Office of Emergency Services. Public Health will also use it for a variety of clinics.
Saturday’s dedication will be made in honor of former highway superintendent Craig Prior, who served as the county’s deputy highway superintendent from 1999-2020 and was named highway superintendent in July 2020. He died in 2022 at the age of 57.
