One of the victims in Sunday’s car-versus-buggy crash in Yates County is back home.

Sheriff Frank Ryan says 31-year-old Daniel Nolt was released from Strong Memorial Hospital on Monday. A 25-year-old woman, Linda Nolt, and a child who were also in the buggy when it was struck are said to be responding and improving.

The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday on Six Corners Road in Barrington. According to police, Alisha Wheeler of Dundee was driving south when her vehicle hit the buggy from behind. All three buggy passengers were airlifted. Wheeler and her young passenger were not hurt.

Wheeler was ticketed for following too closely.

The crash remains under investigation.
