One person was injured while attempting to put out a fire at their cabin in Yates County.
The fire started in the wood stove of the cabin located on Four Wheel Drive in the town of Italy and expanded onto the roof out of the stove pipe. While trying to put out the fire, Tim Gross, of Hamlin, slipped off a ladder, resulting in him suffering injuries to his hand and ankle.
Gross was taken to Thompson Hospital by Middlesex Ambulance.
